How to install SeaMonkey on Xubuntu 16.04

SeaMonkey is more than just a web browser, it's the complete package, seamonkey is an internet application suite which contains web browser (obviously), email client, feed reader, html editor and many more. In this article i'm going to show you how to install seamonkey on xubuntu 16.04.

Step by step how to install SeaMonkey 2.48 on Xubuntu 16.04

• open command line on xubuntu (press CTRL + ALT + T)
• edit /etc/apt/sources.list file using mousepad

sudo mousepad /etc/apt/sources.list

• scroll down and copy paste the code below at the end of the file

deb http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/ubuntuzilla/mozilla/apt all main

• add public key by running this command

sudo apt-key adv --recv-keys --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com 2667CA5C

• run update command

sudo apt-get update

• install seamonkey

sudo apt-get install seamonkey-mozilla-build

Once installed you can open seamonkey from xubuntu start menu > Internet > Mozilla Build of Seamonkey.
